Dance of Art and Energy
Biography
I am Savhana Lecoro, known in the art world as $AVY. Born and raised in Haiti, I have been creating art for as long as I can remember, but it was during my first year of studies in France that I had the chance to immerse myself in the art world.
I came to Montréal to pursue landscape architecture studies, which gave me the opportunity to expand my perception of art on a much larger scale.
Having lived in different countries and now being based in Canada allows me to merge diverse influences into my work.
Primarily, I work with paint, oil, and acrylic, but I have recently started exploring mixed media through digital art.
For me, digital art is a way of giving my paintings a chance for rebirth.
Through my art, I aim to transcend mere aesthetics, inviting viewers on a journey of self-discovery, exploring inner strength and enlightenment. My work is inspired by the Art Deco movement, Impressionism, and Romanticism, and often focuses on the theme of the main character.
My creative process is highly dynamic, often influenced by my parallel passion for dance. I seek inspiration from my experiences, my heritage, and the interplay of light and movement.
Looking to the future, I hope to continue evolving my techniques, participate in more exhibitions, and explore new mediums. My ultimate goal is to inspire others through my art, encouraging them to discover their own inner strength and beauty.
